Too long, I know

I have almost made it two months without a post. I feel like I have been catching myself coming and going.

I am loving my new job and am thankful for it everyday. It has not been without its challenges, but I am always up for a good challenge. Each new day brings a new lesson and no two days are alike. That is why I love it!

We are finally getting settled in our apartment. Still a few odd and end boxes to unpack and we need to put things on the wall. (Mom and Steph are in charge of that) Steph has already given us some ideas. Our goal now is to find "the piece" that we want to work from. I am voting for an IKEA trip to pick out an area rug first. We can use it as our inspiration. Who knows when we will both have time to get down to IKEA, but one can dream, right?

I do finally have something funny to write about.... for those of you who read our blog, this summer you remember the stories of my encounters with bird poop. Now, I am having encounters with skunks. Driving home from a meeting last week my car was sprayed by a skunk. It STILL smells like a skunk inside because two days later, I drove into a cloud of skunk spray. As if that weren't enough, I hit a dead, splattered skunk on the way home from a meeting tonight. I am hoping that these events only come in threes. Too bad the Germans don't say this is good luck too. I guess I will have to leave my luck to the birds.
