I have been home for two weeks now and keep intending to post about our trip. Finally, I am sitting down to do so.
Since I don't get to see my family very often, any time with them is precious! I love being with them and 8 days with them was great!! It is hard to believe that my nieces are so big. Time is going by so fast. Makes me wish we lived closer so I wasn't missing out on so much.
Our whole family on Mom's side was in attendance of this 7 day cruise, minus my male cousin. Our party of 11 is hard to miss. We have TONS of luggage, several loud mouths, children, and lots of us think we know what should happen. AKA, a few arguments, frustration, and overall, just plain loud. However, we escaped with only few minor arguments, and very little drama. Quite an accomplishment for a family of 11 all on vacation together!!
We ported in Nassau, Bahamas, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, and St. Maarten, NA. In the Bahamas, we didn't have much time so we chose to ride the glass bottom boat and shop for a bit. Mom and Mel found some purses, and I got some jewelry. As our luck would have it, it rained while we were there. Poor MoMo had gone with the girls back to the ship to swim and they didn't make it before the downpour hit. Yikes!
I am new to this whole posting pictures thing, so I will tell you about the above pictures. The horrible storm you see is the one our ship headed into as we were leaving port in Florida. Nothing like a setting sail party in the pouring rain. Needless to say, the deck cleared and we all went inside the ship to eat, of course. The dining room was PACKED!!!
The luggage pic explains itself. We only had 23 bags for 11 people. We thought that was really good, but it looked like a TON on that cart... and that was not all of it.
Dad and JJ in the Bahamas. There are more Bahamas pics and when I get better at this, I will post more.
Mom, MoMo, and Aunt Elaine are on the glass bottom boat. We had to ride out quite a way to get to where the boat stopped for us to go down to look through the bottom.
I promise I will get better and post more pics of the vacation. Until then, hope you all are well.
